I am looking for a cold air intake for my truck. Hoping it will improve my gas mileage and that extra power never hurts!!! But I found this kit on e-bay and was wondering if I should get it? It is $90, I know the cheapest isn't always the best way to go, but i don't have $300 dollars to spend on one. So I would like to get your advice on this one!

I bought a cheap one off ebay about 6 months ago and i love it. I cant tell a difference on gas but i can tell on performance. That item looked good. I'd go for it

You can make your own for $30....

4inch PVC. Just put it together and est fi it, then go back and glue it.

Get a K&N filter with a 4 inch opening and clamp it on.

Works great for fox body mustangs.

the problem with the ebay ones is most of them are not true cold air. They usually just pull in hot air from the engine bay defeating the purpose of them. also the tubing on alot of them is so thin it heats up, heating up the air inside of them...Thats just what i have been told though.

That one is not a cold air intake, it is a short air intake. The cold air intke with travel down below where your bumper is. I have a short and it works amazing. You would think that it would cause it to run warmer b/c of engine heat, but my truck runs cooler.
