Need to make my throttle easier to push, is there such a thing as a lighter return spring? Or is the extended throttle a better option?

Well if you buy a thumb throttle extension it'll give you more leverage. That is prolly your only option.

:huh alright then. anyway, twist throttles are not for everybody. i took mine off the day i brought it home. the 450r carb pull is a little bit easier btw.

There is a little spring in your thumb throttle assem. throw it out. Clean the inside and lube it up w/grease. Clean your throttle cable and lube it with a real light oil. This will help some.

a new cable would help depending on the year of your quad.

Mmm. seems I'm Not the only one wishing my throttle was one off my Ltz 250 wifes bike .
damn thing's so much easier to operate I almost get jealous .
It works fine if you playing around , but crank that sucker for 4 hours non-stop and houston-we have a problem .
I went so far as to remove the spring -everyone does that first .then I went into the carb and fiddled a bit with one of them inside there too .In the end I gave up and oil the thing regularly .
And then there's the Srp thingie .... which costs a pretty packet . Very nice , but $$ .
Oh and lets not forget the not-to-be-outdone thumb-and-twist-Throttle ......
