not starting

what would cause weak spark? my quad was running then i shut it off and tried to turn it on again it started and died right away. i took the spark plug out, and tried another one and it still wouldn't run. i looked to see if it was getting spark by sticking the spark plug into the wire but not into the engine and i saw spark evryonce in a while, not like it should. but i know it's getting some kind of spark because i stuck a screw driver in the wire and put it close to the engine and it sparked.

i ruled out the CDI box, because i switched it with my dad's and it still didn't work right. what else could it be?

lets see....a break in the plug wire....the ignition....faulty switch.....one of the wires came unplugged underneath your front plastic....give them a try

nevermind, i got it to start and it runs. i followed what the book says and draned the carb, and cleaned the plug.
