View Full Version : Predator 500? What do you guys think?

Been in testing for 2+ years..hardly think anything will go wrong with it. engine/tranny isnt made by polaris....made by fuji who makes boeing 777 engines and subaru engines...also make space rockets, so no problems there...what can go wrong? quad being tested that much, there going to fix the problems! time shall see....but im likin this quad very much! :) looks so nice to!!!

only thing it has to waorry about is having that extra weight on it :rolleyes: it needs to go on a small diet

I may be wrong but I think Fuji built some of the older Polaris engines as well. And like EXracer said, it's biggest problem just looking at it's stats is going to be the weight. Before anyone says it's got enough horsepower to make up for the weight I just want to point out that horsepower does nothing while you're in the air trying to manuever the quad around.

Daryl Rath (pro mx-tt) now has four of them. The ones he's racing have been completely stock except exhaust. i can't wait to see one.

(Now, about that Dune test, that weekend I was also attending a monthly association ride with the NW ATV Association at the Sand Lake Recreation Area on the Oregon Dunes. Coincidently, I ran into some riders doing a publicity run with unmarked Predator 500's. The riders gladly took on the other ATV's there, beating out even a modified Raptor on the flats. They were the fastest 4-stroke on the sand that day, hands down.)

one of my friends got a chance to ride on and he said it felt like it needed a 6th gear on the end and thats compared to the z. other than that he said it was a great machine!

i think the raptor is the best atv ever made, no way in **** is there anything better.

i am pretty sure the cross country predator comes with the wb slip on and i dont think you guy will be disapointed last i heard they are being shiped out on friday
and my opinon on the bike is the same weight and the name scares me

actually, there arnt different packages...you pick what you want on it...weight? ehh.....its got 6 ply tires, after market axle, and a whole lot of other things! besides, engine isnt made by them, and frame isnt either. :D

i thought they were packages just certain things you got to choses from like there are 3 diffrent size rear sprockets 2 chains ect.
