C'mon guys hook me up with some good things about the z400. I'm done with the banshee, i just dont want it anymore. And was offered a trade, 06 ltz400 pretty much stock for my banshee (full fmf exhaust, air filter kit, boost bottle and pistons). What mods do i basically have to do to keep up with 450's? Could I get to that point without getting a bigbore kit or is bigbore required to keep up. I already have a 450r but im giving the 400 to my brother which is bigger than i am. I'm not looking for top speed but more or less bottom end (1st-3rd gear) and can this bike do it or no? Because this bike will be raced and not to many tracks around here can u get past 3rd. Anyway, is the trade worth it?

Personally i'd do it in a heart beat, and throw in a hand job if he asked for it.

You can make a Z400 keep up/beat stock/mild 450's without too much trouble, but you're probably going to need a big bore. Look into Athena 434, very inexpensive reliable kit from what i've read.

im not to keen on the athena kits, bad experience in past. Any other bb kits work well with this bike?

Four stroke tech 463 or thumper racing 470 if you are not concerned about going over 450cc.
