flowmaster exhaust sound

i have narrowed down my exhaust for my 07 tundra. i plan on getting flowmaster 40 series, but i cant decide to go with true duals or just one muffler. i want a real deep muscular tone without breaking the bank. i have attached a video of a tundra with flowmaster 40 series in true duals. will my truck sound much diff with just one muffler? sorry for all the questions, i just dont want to spend all the money and not like the outcome.

Is it a V8 ? If so either will do, I say SI/SO or a SI/DO if it's a V8.


Not a V8 ? Eh, then stick with a SI/SO for sure.

its a 4.7 liter v8. and it will be dual in dual out. stock is dual in single out.

IMHO duals will sound better. gives it a better tone, it is usually louder.

but a SI/DO does sound good, that is what i have ran on my last truck, and my current one as well. however my newest truck will get true duals.

If you want to sound deep you need to run no cat. The fatter the piping the deeper it will sound.

I have DI DO flowmaster 40series dual chambers on my 04' supercrew 5.4.. I have them over the axle to be legal but pointing down at a 45 with no tips so i dont get the echo....I love a dual, its just taht i dont want to hear it humm on the highway all day. 45 degree angle and ford quiet cab=no humm on the highway

Its not as loud as some of my friends who have SI DO with 40 series.....If you want loud go with DIDO single chambers and point them at the ground. A buddy of mine just got his new z71 done like that and it rumbles loud, and i mean loud... and and definetly stay away from the Delta Flow's

I have a 2006 dodge ram with a 4.7 . I did a flowmaster 40 with a turndown. Loud as $**t.
