Nope. I bought a set of brand new front and rear 450 shocks for 80. The ride quality is so much better with them, but for 260 you can get a used set of aftermarket.

$200 to $240 shipped is pretty reasonable. The newer they are, the higher the cost. Ebay average is in the low $200's.

Looking on this site will get you them cheaper, but might take a little longer. Ive seen them for 150-200. Just have to wait.

I spent 300 on a new set of 05s. I was told the 04-05 was a little softer so i paid a little more. Even for 300 bucks the better ride was worth it.

If i got a pair for $75 I would turn around sell them on ebay for $240 then buy an even nicer shock like fox floats or something.

I paid $220 shipped with less than one year old on ebay, very clean. I have seen some really used ones sell for $200 so I don't think I did that bad, I looked for a month before buying a nicer set, then I sent my rear shock and the fronts to C&D for respring and revalve. I am very happy so far. I'm not an expert but I think revalved 450 fronts are better than elka recreation non-resivour fronts for $500 and my rear is set up to work with the front shocks.

i got those ones off ebay for $200 and i plan on gettin them revalved as soon as money allows along with my rear shock.
i too plan on going with CandD racing. i live in nebraska only 20 minutes away from those guys, i went down there the other day just to check the place out and get an E-brake block off plate, nice place and SUPER nice people!
