i was thinking about going with sparks 12.5:1 416 piston and a stage 2 cam. this is going to be my fisrt rebuild, and if heard of guys runnin no head gasket and thicker gaskets, I wanted to know what you guys recomand doing.

p.s. thinkin about hd studs and a 450r cam chain, good investment?

HD studs and a CRF cam chain is a must if your going that route. Better to be safe than blowen up I always say.

I just so happen to have this setup and you wont be dissapointed. You have to run both gaskets with this one. The HD studs and chain are a good idea. You dont have to do the head studs. Mine lasted a year before it pulled the threads. I have run the stock timing chain in mine for 4 years and no problems since the stage 2 isnt that big of a cam, but it is a little extra insurance. I will be getting one on my next rebuild. And race gas is a must.
