Well first off I haven't been to this site in idk how long. I must admit I do miss it and I have had this problem on my mind for awhile now and as this thread says some old timers might be able to help me.

I have a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer I just got her above 80,000 miles. I bought the truck in April of 06 with 32,000 on her. I need to decide between getting a new truck or keep my old truck and getting a quad because lately I have seen so many and I must say I have gotten the bug again and I need a new set of wheels. Someone update me the newest quads out there that kick.

New truck?

Old truck, new quad?

Newer truck. used, good condition quad.:D

Problem solved;)

EDIT: 80'000 miles aint bad....my truck is pushin 200'000 and it still runs as good as the day it was new. We'll just say I've suprised a few of the morons at school who think thier Z71 is the baddest chit around.:macho

def keep the truck and get a quad. 80k is not that many miles and a large car payment for a new truck doesn't make any sense.

i wish i didn't have my truck payment. and when i am done with it I will not ever do that to myself again. I don't see the sense in paying interest on an item that is depreciating.

Lmao looks like some people never and will never forget about that thread ahahahahahhaha good old times def!

In that case then I'll be looking for a new quad. How are the new quads from suz/kawi doing? I haven't been around much and I've just dazed at them a couple of times nothing in detail.

if your going to sell it then do it before you hit 100,000 miles. however the depreciation is much slower after 100,000 so provided it is in sound condition it would be a better move to keep it until it starts breaking down with expensive repairs, then dump it.

The ltr's from Suzuki are a big hit. I don't ever hear anything about the kfx450.

hey man havent seen u on here in a while. I say keep the truck and get a quad. There now is a Can-Am 450, KFX 450, and i heard KTM is supposed to be coming out with a MX 450. Right now they have a xc450 out.

we have a ktm 450 quad at work i was assuming it was the mx version because it doesnt really look like a xc quad. it looks badass and well puttogether. the new kfxs are doing well. just like any new quad i am sure there are a couple bugs to be worked out all though i have not heard of many of any at all.

No 450 MX from KTM yet, but polaris' is out. The KTM 520 and 450 out are XC models. The KFX's have terrible starting issues with 10 hours and under, but after that seem better, and their stock seat is a torture device.

So whatcha been up to 300EXrida?
