I just put on a pair of TCS shocks on my 300ex. I am trying to adjust them, but do not know where to start. Can someone tell me how to adjust these shocks. I know that they a setup for 150lbs with +2 a-arms. I have them with stock a-arms, but I weight 180. So, I think since I am using them with stock a-arms, they are valved close enough for my weight. Does anyone know how to figure out if they are. Any help would be great.

Depends on what the +2 arm configuration was. IF the +2's used the stock length shock and shock lower position, then your new shocks would work for perfect for someone about 165 pounds if used on stock 300arms. If the +2's used a different length shock or lower mounting position, there is no way to tell you without more info about the +2's.

The shocks might be a bit soft for your weight, but if the previous owner was a more advanced rider than you, you might like the slightly softer ride.

i have some elka shocks valved for a 150lb mx rider and for 400ex a-arms. But now after I put them on i feel every little bump there is, and on the big stuff it almost if not all the way bottoms out. Them when i adjust them I dont feel very many bumps but I bottom out when landing from jumps. What can i do.

I recommend sending the shocks out to be serviced to your riding specifications... Weight, type of riding, and level of riding.

As for adjusting them... I could be wrong, but Works and Elkas compression knob is set "softer" by rotating the knob to the left, like you are loosening it, and "harder" by rotating the knob to the right, like you are tightening it.

Does this help??

I seem to have the same problem. I feel every little bump that I hit. The shcoks seem to make alot of noise also. I do not have the problem of bottoming out though.
