OK here*s the deal....eventually i*m gettin a quad and i am pulled between two specific quads! i really like the Honda 250 Ex....and some people think i should get the yamaha breeze....now i love hondas n yamahas.....which one should i consider?? im totally lost......or should i skip both of them n try something completely different!?
p.s.- if u get the chance tell me what kinda riding gear is good.....like Thor or Fox or watever!

hi, defintly the 250ex over the breeze. you will be very cramped on the breeze and it is slooww. if you didnt know the breeze is only a 125. 250s are great beginner quads but if you think it will be too slow id say go get a nice used 300 and learn the clutch. it is very easy and fun. i have steel toe boots, a fox chestprotector, and a fly helmet. the fly is a great helmet and it is only 79.99. i dont really think boots are needed unless you race mx. hope i helped alittle.

If you are going to jump alot whereing normal shoes will hurt ur feet really bad but if ur not going to jump just use normal shoes

I would definately suggest the 250ex or the 300ex if your willing to learn the clutch, its not hard! Always a helmet... dont spend a ton of $ on a helmet, because it will likely get scratched up etc. A good pair of boots are good if you plan on jumping, I jump in my regular shoes and now they are all cut up from the pegs... pants are not needed.
DO NOT GET THE BREEZE, I can tell you enough. They are under powered, automatic, peices of garbage that are pron to break down etc.

ohh and i got a quad for you...01 400ex you thank urself for buying it instead of 300 a few months later
she doesnt jump! she can get a 250EX at the max. she scares me when she rides mine! she should get a chest protector just so she doesnt fall off while she starting it. lol.:huh. she'd never understand the clutch!:rolleyes: ;). i'll trade her the 300 for my 250! lol. the 250EX is plenty of power for her.

believe me just go from the 250 to a 400 or sumthin bigger. i know so many people who wish they bought a 400 cuz they got used to the power so fast, and when u make it faster you need better suspension, the 400 has a better base to start with.

about the post refering to helmets. dont buy a cheap helmet. buy a cheep helmet for a cheap head. (there is no such thing.!!!) buy a good helmet cus it will be your saving grace. get something that is current with racing standards. i dont even know what they are anymore but i think it is like schnell 95. if that makes sense

ive seen toooooo many people waste money on there 250ex and 300ex (me being one of them with my 300ex) and still not being satisfied. enjoy the 250ex how it is, if its that big lack of power, then see if you can sell it for somthing beter. i wouldnt get nothing less then a 400ex if you want to step up, a 300ex isnt a major step up from the 250ex besides a clutch and a little more power which you still get tired off in a few months....

I would get a 400ex because you will buy the 250 and bout a year goes by and you wish you had never wasted your money on it and just got a 400ex.
its a pattern, i went from blaster to 250x to 400ex, now to banshee, the first couple weeks its like damn this is fast then it gets old. now i want to go really fast and still be able to ride around. i have my dragin shee for really fast straight lines lol

how is the 400?? * see im super short im only 5ft 1 and im afraid i cant handle something that big......i know im not growing anymore either lol and im scared to death to get something huge *
