i've seen different offsets, like 3-2 and stuff, for rear rims. what does that mean? and what offset do you reccomend for mx racing and a little xc?

most people run 8x8 rims for mx. the offset would be 3+5. theres 3 inches on the inside and 5 on the out. 9x9 would be 4+5 and so on.

3+2 is one inch wider for the fronts. 4+1 is factory fronts. I have 9 inch wide rear that are offset 1 inch out to make a total of 2 inches wider in the rear. They are 3+6 offset whereas non-offset 9 inch wide rear wheels would be 4+5 offset. I also saw another one of your thread looking at wheels on E-bay. Those wont hold up as well as stock in the woods. Also, they were fronts, not rears. front bolt pattern is 4x144. Rear is 4x110. Factory wheel sizes for the front are 10x5. Factory for the rear is 9x9. This should clear everything up for you.

OEM fronts are 10x5.5 and are roughly 4x1.5
