raises the rev limiter around a 1000rpms usefull on big bore 400's but worthless on stock

wastes your money...makes the bike hard to start...which will eventually kill the battery...

i have one.. has never killed my battery.. reverse does not cut out.. i climb up every thing on mine.. its a g4.. its revs up 1250 rpms over stock.. i can start my quad in reverse.. i like it.. but yea i have a big bore 440.. so it helps out.. i th9ink it was worth iot.. i bougth it before the big bore was installed and not much diffrence only like 2-3 hp when motor is stock about 5-6 with my big bore.. also have cams and other goodies that it squeezes the juice out of.. :D

haha, you wish it was 2-3 with the big bore i can see it. But unless you are in the redline and bumping the stock limiter your not going to make anymore power.

I disagree with the others......I think it outperforms many of the mods I did.

3-4 hp is a huge improvement when horsepower is such low numbers to begin with. now, do new rev boxes actually add 3-4 hp? NO! all the boxes that change timing do is give a little bit snappier throttle response.

I wouldn't necessarily say that is correct. The box has nothing to do with throttle response. The cdi box is just changing the ignition curve, and allows the bike to max out at a higher rev limit. This may potentially increase your overall hp with a wide open throttle. More than likely, you wont' see much improvement unless you ride dunes, or gp tracks where you are consistently hitting your max rev limit. If you are familiar with your bike, you will definitely notice the difference at the dunes. Trails, mx, or puttin' around will make no difference. In my opinion it was one of the best mods I did.
