I think you need to lose some weight. A heavier person will go slower on a given bike.

BTW, if you're going to flame me based on my response, PM me, dont post it here.

Yes, you need a bigger bike.

400ex sounds good for you. If you feel the 350ex is to slow, then you might as well skipp the 300ex.

it depends on your riding skill, if you feel you are ready for a 400ex then do it. I think if i ride as much as i do know that I willl be ready for a 400ex when i am 16.

depends on your riding skill, i got my 440 when i was 14, and i could handle it fine

12-03-2007, 06:30 PM
exactly everything depends on skill. dont try and ride something that you cant handle because you will just be either a rag doll, is a body cast, or you just wont have fun. Age and weight dont play a big role in machine size, its all skill. I moved up to a 400ex from a 250ex when i was able to keep up with my friends that had 400ex's. my uncle has a 200sx i think and he is a grown adult, he has had the same quad since he was little. The thing still has that original spark plug from the 80's and the 3 wheeler he has still goes on the 2nd kick and that is from the early 80's aswell but thats all besides the point. Move up when you are ready.

LOL, you think showing a thread to your pop about what a bunch of strangers on the internet think will prove to him you need a new bike?

Alot of you youngin's will give me grief for saying this, but if you want a new bike so badly, get a job and save up for it yourself.

Like many other said it depends on your riding skills, my son started on a 07 250ex when he was ten and now that he's eleven I put him on a kfx450r.

Wow, where to begin? Oh, i know, the crf is a competitition motorcycle and although you may feel cool about your big wheelie, no kidding an aggressive trail quad isnt as fast. Why would you even compare the two? Seriously, theyre both for totally different types of riding. But in all seriousness, ill bet you looked real cool doin your big tuff guy wheelie, im jealous.

learn to spell or abreviate correctly,

u guy ?

mayb ?

wat ?

I hope you ride better than you spell
Im a terrible speller, but dang........... its like your trying to come across as some kind of want-to-be hoodlum

you dont have to go to miami to learn to wheelie, every other 12 year old from main to california can find the ballance point on a bike/atv.

(its like bragging about doing jumping jacks.........whoop whoop)

5'8" and 200lbs ? you need a grizzly/outlander

i know right I can understand a few thinks like (IDK) (IMO) (LOL). Yes this is the internet but this isnt a AIM/AOL/Yahoo/MSN etc.. instant message where you want to type fast by abreviating things to shorten it up. To post you can take as long as you want and actually nake what you say look legitimate and professional instead of garbage. I hope no one ever sends a email to a company taking like that asking about parts and such.

All the bragging you keep on doing makes you sound alittle to immature for a bigger bike. And lying doesnt make you sound cool. If you want good advice dont try to make yourself sound like a part of the Bomb Squad and just ask the question without all your little kid like behavior.

its not really the "misspelled" words that make it hard to read
(they dont help either)

its the.........yo yo holl aaa gangster crap G dopnt get too mad about it, its just a handee cap you should tree and get over

if your really asking for an inteligent answer you may start by asking it in an inteligent way

to answer your question........................

a 250ex will haul your big butt around just fine, but if your going to try to compete with your friends or on a track your going to need more motor to compensate for your weight

act like a clown, and we all assume your in the circus

that reminds me of a phrase my grandfather use to say.................

be careful of the impression you give of yourself, it is hard to change later on

so if you dont want to be thought of as a child in need of a spanking,

then dont act like one............................................... ..............

its not an age thing either, because there are 10 and 12 year old kids on here that I do respect

450rJam I have to agree. I have seen a lot of intelligent mature young people on this forum.
Your grandfather was 100%
People will treat you how you behave, not how you expect to treated. Respect is earned.
Also, may I recommend this thread to some of you? No offense intended.

BTW intelligence is not a 'white' attribute, it too is earned.
Okay I'm off the soapbox, carry on.

im 16, weigh 188 i think, im like 5'8 or 5'10, i aint sure, it dont matter to much. but i was still riding a blaster right up until like last year, or maybe one a little more, i cant be sure.

dont show your dad this thread, its pointless, i tried to do that to show him i was ready to step up from my blaster, but he really didnt care. i wanted to get rid of my blaster when i was like 14,(i bought it when i was like 11, i paid for it in full, with the money i earned workin with my dad on the farm) and he wouldnt let me upgrade until this past summer, when he saw that i was just riding the hell outta the blaster, thats when he said, wow, your pretty good, lets look for something bigger, he helped me find, NOT BUY, but find a 400ex, and i think he lended me like 200 of the 2600 i paid for it, just cuz i really wanted to get it before someone else so, ride that 250 until you know you are pushing it PAST its limits, thats when its time to upgrade.
