400ex: how to remove the comp release [Archive]

All I see is a role pin in the head near the cam gear.

Shane,

You have it right. That thing is called a plunger. Also, underneath the plunger, theres a spring. Dont forget to remove the spring too

Can I ask why exactly you would wnat to take it off? All it's going to do is make it tear up the starter whenever you try to start it

i think that when u put a cam in u have to take it out but only for some cams
