need something a little faster

I have a 2005 limited edition yfz450 with an HMF balance exahast, K&N, airbox lid removed and jetted. I beat alot of yfz's and ltr's as it is, but im looking to do something that will make me faster than most of the 450's out there. I'm thinking about putting a stage 1 or 2 hotcam in it. what are some other mods I can do? and what do u guys thinks about the hotcam? btw I ride mainly in the dunes and im looking to spend about $500 thanks

im sure a higher compression piston and cam would help...

you can retard the stock cam too, which is free and will help you wind out quicker...

in all honesty though, and not trying to be a punk- your bike should be plenty fast... if you want to beat most other riders, you need to out-ride most other riders... i kinda miss having my stock exhaust with the baffle removed...

stay away from hotcams,go with webs or crower,or get a piston and an fci

Hey, what i did for more power is:

Hotcams
dgk spark plug
hi-flow impeller
yamalube race oil
k&n oil filter
k&n air filter
airbox lid off
a full duncan exh.
with fatboy 4 jets
a powerflow needle in my carb.
and i use reg. gas....

Thats what i have into my motor! a lot of people said Hotcams ruin motors, i had myne in for a month or two with no problems yet...
