4-stroke banshee's are pointless.

People buy them for their sick engines and top-end ability.

Its not like they buy em for the 1980's technology handling.

But to each his own i guess..

putting a 4 poke engine in a ****ty banshee chassis is pointless. The reason i have a banshee is because of the kick *** powerband. I love beating the crap out of 450s/raptors knowing my bike cost thousands less with way less into it. That's in a strait line of course.

Basically what i said.

You know what helped the handling, my cousin put yfz450 shocks up front. It helped out a decent bit

If you have the money, its possible to get +2 arms +2 axle and yfz450 shocks up front.

But that stuff could get pricy

well my cousin isnt running the arms with it. Hes running stock arms and yfz shocks. Yfz shocks with +2 arms would prob. be good. Yours looks kinda low??

you can kinda see the shocks there. Thats me on the blaster (pre-400ex)

and on the red banshee is my dad, he is a lot smaller than that in person. The pic made him look alot bigger than he is:confused:

Well it does make it really low. It does handle better but it's just not as plush as id like it to be. It's pretty hard in the rough stuff. I dont know how good it handles because i have nothing to compare it with. I dont ride other people's bikes.

quick question......the 450r a-arms? would they mount up the same as YFZ? I dont know how much of a difference it is. Anything is better than the stock front end.

Yamaha and Honda use completely different parts with my experiences, but im not sure if that would work..

oh, rajuncajun, i found a better pic of my cousins front end setup. With stock arms it retains its ground clearance

no, yfz450 arms wont mount up to a banshee. u have to cut the lowers i believe.

If anybody wants to buy a cheap set of yfz450 a-arms/shocks ready to bolt on, let me know. Picture is on page one.

LOL. Thats isnt smoke, crappy camera, and sun glare. The banshee wasnt on.

Our banshees dont smoke when they are warmed up, and most shouldnt.

I dont understand why 4-stroke guys say they smoke like crazy, not really though.

Only when cold.

typical comment from a jealous fool who bought the wrong bike. LOL (just kidding).

Actually I thought it was a funny comment, but for fun sake we need to get together sometime and see if you can keep up in the dunes. Do you ever make it to little Sahara Ok?

As a 450r owner....very very nice lol. That was good. But anyway to get on the point of the topic at hand......wtf would you want a 4-stroke banshee for? now, if you took the banshee motor and put in 450r frame and it was called 450r 2-stroke that would be a little more interesting cause at least the 450r has decent suspension. Umm well if you want to destroy a banshee by 4-stroking then have fun.

hey guys, i might be a proud banshee owner soon:devil:

Im probably trading my 400ex for a 98 banshee with porting, t6 pipes, 2-1 carg, stg 4 intake, elka shocks, etc.

My dads probably gonna take that one and im gonna inherit his 50-52 hp 99 shee!

YAY!
