I just recently started taking my 400 apart to rebuild it this winter and when I took my lrd silencer off it was loose. What I meen by loose is the chrome peice that is riveted into the brushed aluminum peice is loose. Has anyone else had a problem with this? I'm guessing it needs to be riveted again?

Thanks Norm

The silencer on my R did the same thing, I can't figure out how to fix it. I have drilled it out for larger rivits and it still comes loose. Anyone else have any sugestions???

c'mon now guys you need to think a little bout this one. why is it loose does it rattle due to the rivits not holding it tight enough to the silencer?

Try putting a small piece of rubber or even attachment tape (its used to attach emblems to cars etc) under the plate and then rivit or screw it back on, and the extra material behind it should make it tight.

Hope that helps

I think I found out why it did it to my silencer, my subframe is tweeked like a mofo. And the lrd silencer on my 250 did the same thing and thats from the plastics slamming down on it constantly.
