I don't have an answer.....

BUT, I will say this....mixing geometries is all together a very bad idea..

They're not even close to fitting.

According to the previous post, they won't fit anyways....

BUT, when you mix geometries, you create a situation where the front end will most likely not work properly. Especially when mixing such vastly different front suspension components.

Spindles could toe in or out(turn in, or turn out, separately)severely, causing the bike to dart in many different directions, usually not under your control.

Also, the 450R setup will have much more travel, the chances of the tie-rods hitting the frame at full extension is very likely. I'm sure I don't need to describe why your steering locking up could be a bad thing, mainly while needing to correct in the air.

My advice...do it right, or don't do it at all.

400EX arms will fit but you will want the shocks to go with it. It will cause more bumpsteer but it is the only way to get a longtravel set up out of a 300EX I think. Like Sasquatch cdale rider said before me you would probably be better off buying something that is actually made for you're machine.

Man, somebody says that nickname once, and it sticks, in the worst way, haha.

Hell, I'm not even hairy anymore...yet the nickname sticks.
