if you want a hybrid ,hybrid that "R" 450 or even a 250 fourstroke ,im a honda guy but use a rmz250 it fits better:D thats whats next for my sons .

what year motor are you useing for that rmz? the 04 are nothing but junk, a buddy on mine rebuilt his 4 times in a 5 week time frame, it was bad,
what do you have for mods on it? i have to take the bottom pipe, bars what ever that all the frame welds on to and then i was gonna change it a little bit but im not really sure,

that "R" i have listed i havent picked up yet, if i would hybrid that i would throw a yz426 or 450 in it... mabie a crf 650? im runnin hairscrambles but i like to just messaroun on tracks and stuff to,,, people didnt think that i was takin all the jumps that my buddys were on there 450's, i take them on the 450 to see how fast i would have to go then hop on the blaster and Brapp braaaappppp whoos there i go over the big table top and the duble and then the G out to the step up,,,

ok im thinkin about eather puttin a yz250f motor in or the ktm 200... but im pullin on the 250...

ok to start off the build once i start im gonna cut the 2 bottom rails/pipes that the a-arms mount up off that the whole frame sites on pretty much... im gonna re-place them with strait peices that will run the same spots but will not have a bend in at all mounting the a-arms in a different way, pushing then up a little bit.

i am going to re-do the a-arm mounts so i still have then bend that the factory ones have. if you follow what im saying, its the little space that is bent up towart the rider. that the mounts on the a-arms are welded on.

then i will have the mounts modded for the yfz 450 a-arms or the honda trx 250r, something that i could run a wide choices of shocks and a-arms,

im think that i will mod the rear swinger for a yfz one als makein the mount for the link and all that if it will work or trying a link for a bike

i will then start on the motor mounts and the raid mounts, i still have to do some drawing on it so i can figure on what or where i should put the raid but i think i have a good idea,

most the parts i will run are gonna be the yamaha yfz 450 parts or the honda trx 250r,

feed back?

this will be a slow build by the way, if i for surely do it, im thinkin that i will start working on the frame tonight and cut the bottom pices out and take some pics so you can under stand me...

i might as well get use of something that i have just settin there... she should i do with it other wise? im not gonna get any money for it on ebay, its got bent parts on it, i have a shop class that i could do alot of the work in and the only think that i would be buy is the motor and some of ths shock parts my buddy is a 250r parts dealer preatty much he has just about every part for a 250r. so i would have all the shock parts at hand.

im not gonna have all my money at it all at once. its something im gonna do as a slow build if i think that i will do it 100% im like 50 50 on it, i still have to pick up 2 other atv's

thanks you for your imputs but i would like it to have comments that say this is a waste of my time or money because Its my money and its my time, i have the free time to do it and all the metal at had so it would cost the same for me to build a different atv.

thanks!

if anybody has another idea then let me know!

i have a few on the steering stem.

thanks again.

If you want a sleeper, put in a yz400-yz465. Don't use a yz490, those motors are so hard to tune correct and detonate alot. From a stance back, they look almost just like a blaster motor. Probably half the people won't even notice that it has that motor in it. They also bolt in with little modding.

if I seen and read correctly, he used a yz400 motor. Not the yz400f motor, but the 2 stroke yz400 from early to late 70's.

I was gonna do something similar with a tri-z 250, I had 2 yz400 dirtbikes, I was gonna buy a tri-z w/o a motor and put in the yz400 and do the minor modding to make everything fit. The motor he put in is a air-cooled 2 stroke. I have ridden a wr500(basically a yz490 w/ lights and gearing change) and it rips, has torque that 4 strokes can dream about and smokes almost everything out there. I eaten alive quads, trikes and 250cc dirtbikes in dragging.

i dont know i wanna do something that hasnt ever been done before. ive never seen ore heard of a 250f bike motor in a blaster or 250x 300ex chassie, i've seen them in 250r chassies... but i think a pure yamaha 4-banger would be sweet...
