Why isnt there a forum for the famous quadzilla? In my opinion the trx250r was no greater than the lt250r, I think they should bring back the body style and design in their new 700 too run with yamaha kawasaki and honda, Post em if you got em

I hope this works with the picture download. These are from the begining of what i started i will go take the pictures as soon as i get a chance. Its not done exactly like the original but is now in like new condition.Nice lt250 also. How did you get the fenders to have that type of edge after cutting them. They look like they sort of fold over. This is the way i did the motor and the fram was powder coated.

Hell yeah nice pics, i had a thought, if you look at the ltr450 then the lt500r they do have some resemblance. Seat shape, sleak low long stance. I guess you could say they took their ideas from lt500r

there is a reason why 5 years ago when the hondas were still bringing $4k+, you could get an LT for less than $2k...

cause fame hit the trx just by coincidence, peaple like bombsqaud made it the ideal machine, its the way everything is from football products to nascar, theres a reason the cars say stuff like tide and charmin, but honda has always been great at getting riders out there riding so i would say its more the whole corporation

The aftermarket is what made the TRX250R what it is today.

My dad has a Quadzilla. Bought it new in 87. Doesn't ride it very much any more though. Most 2 strokes are a little weak right off the bottom. The Zilla is a torque monster.

My 2 complaints about the Zilla is vibration and the kick start.

Everyone I have ever talked to about the 250 Suzuki and Honda 250R will tell you that the ONLY thing that got the Honda going in the 80's was that the motor held together better. In 1987 the Suzuki's were still everywhere and the Honda's weren't. The way I was told, when everyone got tired of fixing their LT's they bought 250R's and realized they handled better too. I loved riding my 500. If parts were plentifull and it wouldn't break down every-other time I got on it, I'd have one that looked like new but thats not the way it is. I think that if the 500's body had been shorter like the rest of the 2-strokes, the front-end tucked back 3-4 inches and raised up 3-4 inches, and the front shocks been longer, it would have been better than a 250R. What killed that bike was the amount of roll in the front-end and the extra slow reving motor.
