I've ordered a few things to spice up my 250R. It's a Total beater and im slowly but surely changing that. 1988 Project R.

So far i've ordered New full black plastics, new hand guards, new IMS/Roll pegs (Freaking awsome!), new bumper and grab bar, new clutch plates/springs.

Just a few things to start it off. Here are a couple pics, i just received the plastics today and slapped them on. waiting on everything else but the pegs.

Start (originally it didnt have the stock lights/had a crappy seat cover and minor other things)

I seriously need some nerf bars! That'll be one of the next things i order. Any ideas for other small things like that to order? my next major upgrade is going to be a new/different frame, this ones crap!

Thoughts? comments?

Oh yeah, i also haven't put support brackets on any of the plastics, so they'll be sitting a little higher, they do look a bit low.

My hand guards/Bumper/Grab bar should be in early this week, hopefully monday.

AC Nerfs bolt up to IMS/Roll pegs right?
Ah well, how hard could it be to mod them to anyway.

I'm off to E-bay to snag some Nerfs...

is there anything wrong with your frame. could you fix it with a fresh coat of paint. sos pads or permatex rust dissolve would make that pipe look new. good luck on the winter refresher

It wouldnt be much of a stretch at all to say the only thing holding the frame together is the faded red (now orange ish) coat of pain thats on it.

It's just i live in Alaska, things rust here quite quickly compared to other places if you dont take care of them. And this frame is just rusted, and has at least 6 major repair welds that i can spot without looking too hard.

Time for a new one!

Also im considering exhaust wrapping my header with black exhaust wrap and silicon spray. Thoughts? is ee it done on 4 strokes all the time, bad idea for 2 strokes?
