he didnt exactly get his panties in a bunch :rolleyes: . scoops are used for looks and cooling. tons of people shave their fenders. whats the big deal? lookin good man. :)

I wasnt getting upset. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I did it because it looked even chittier with the full fenders, and I just dont need front fenders. About 65 or so they make he front end get pretty light, which is a bit scary.

And I bought those scoops about 4 years ago, and never put them on. So I figured a while back Id put them on and see if they would help cool the engine off. With the 440 kit, it gets hot pretty quick.:devil:

I have a 400 ex blown up, and a 440 cylinder with a bad sleeve I need to get re-sleeved.

Guy I bought it from had a stage 2 hot cam with stock jetting and stock exhaust, burnt it up.

Gave him 2k for it.

Get rid of that hotcam and buy a webcam. Hotcams are junk.

Get ti resleeved, get a good exhaust (personally i prefer sparks) and get some port work done on the head and intake. Youll see a noticable increase. I can beat most mildy modded 450's and I can outrun my dads 700r with a pipe, filter and the TFI module.

It pisses him off to no end.:devil:

I dont plan doing that much to it, I have enough toys as it is, and Im either going to
a. bore stock cylinder .0030 over to get rid of the scratches and get a 30 over piston.

or

b. resleeve the 440 cylinder that came with a brand new hi comp piston

then jet it properly and get an exhaust.
Ill leave it like that and possibly resell it.

Do as you please, but im telling you, put a little time into it and get it to run good. Youll be very suprised. I know I was.

BTW- you can do all the port work yourself. I did.

Dyno said before I had 37.54 horsepower and 22.64 fl. lbs. of torque.

After the porting I had 45.34 hp and 28.87 ft.lbs of torque. I wish I would have kept the dyno sheets, Id show them to you if I had.

im the one that had the protective ice layer last winter, not my plastics haha. the visor on my winter helmet couldnt get scratched though! that had ice covering it too!

yup, it was kind of tough witht he motor hanging on my back and the frame over my shoulders though..:D

Looks cool, and when I moved from the city I had to go back onto 56K, it was the only thing available, just this year we got satellite, still no cable though, they want $25,000 to run the cables.
