RX-7 just for the uniqueness of the rotax. but i'm not much into sports cars. they are neat, but i tend to be off road more than on road.

Without a doubt the Supra TT.

11-09-2002, 07:29 AM
i love the engine in the supra. the supra has so much potential i want to go hit up a bank just to achieve it, has an engine that with stock internals can handle like 800hp. thats insane strength, supras are expensive as heck but ive seen some cheap tts. while both are great cars the supra is the clear winner in a real life shootout unless you are like the car magazines and decide the winner by the interior design, then i dont know i have never been in an rx7. so to answer your question SUPRA.

actually i could by a 1994 mustang for 6000 and a 1994 supra for 25000 and could have the stang running 10s with the extra 19000 i saved

RX-7 My uncle has the older model one and it flies. The rotary motor sounds sweet in it too.

go with a Supra its a bigger car the rx-7 is too small, but there both very sick cars you can't go wrong with either one. Oh someone did tell me one time that after 80,000 miles the something goes on the rx-7..some kinda recall, not sure if its true though

good people dont know jack about rx-7 sure supras have them off the line used rx-7 are cheaper and handle a heck of alot better than the boat aka supra aure supras look nice but all real sport car racers will tell ya the rx-7 hands down lighter weight better motor and the 80k mile thing i never heard of such a thing ohh yah people think that they sound kool with no back pressure but you cant run them like that they kill you injectors and a few other things so just soup it up in other ways u dont really need that much though;) :)

Well if you ask I would say NIETHER!. I like HOT RODS and muscle cars. get a 1970 gto judge or a 34 ford coupe! now those are cars not these new rice burners!.:devil

airheadedduner
11-09-2002, 12:23 PM
I would take the RX-7, though the RX-8 would be even better. What gets me is how a 2 liter "rice burner" can hold its own against an american muscle car. Do you guys even know why asian cars have such small motors?? They get taxed heavily for having a car with an engine larger the 2.2 or 2.5, something in that area. If you can't tell japan don't exactly have the room for every one to have a big car. Not flameing just pointing something out.

11-09-2002, 12:24 PM
RX7's and Supra's arent really considered ricers to me, i think they are sports cars

Ryan
11-09-2002, 12:28 PM
What they are is just cheap cars witch they are also cheap to make them fast. a sport car to me is a corvette or a camaro, Like vipers ect. And with those stupid sounding exuast on them they are just so anoyying. I could never see myself driving in one of them.

airheadedduner
11-09-2002, 12:37 PM
A sports car to me is anything that I can enjoy driving. I had way more fun with my mom's vr6 jetta then my friends lumbering cammaro, thought that thing did scream down the straits:devil

Striker49
11-09-2002, 12:56 PM
The American muscles have big engine...but look at the weight they are pulling around. The cars themselvers are blocks compared to those now days, especially the imports. Also, you could have the exact same size engine, but with technology today you could pull 50% or more Horses out of a 03' Chevy 350 than the a 73' 350. I know, thats a bad example, but with technology these days, more power can be pulled out of smaller engines...where it used to take size to get the horses out of the block.

Ehy, maybe Im wrong?

Bean
11-09-2002, 01:12 PM
i consider a ricer a blaster, u can make it fast, it can be cool, its small, and it seems cool, til u drive a real car

american muscle cars are like R's, they can be made alot faster, alot ebtter, they are a little heavier, but alot better

MILF_HUNTER
11-09-2002, 01:23 PM
hands down either a 1970 chevelle 454 SS or a 1969 Dodge Charger RT with a 440 six pack. station wagons are pretty cool too. chevelle 2 door wagons are sweet. Ecto 1 on ghost busters is a damn pimpin ride. old ford wagons like 60 and 61 are hella sweet.

im guessing you dont know much because they arnt cheep cars get on ebay and find a TTsupra they are $50,000+ i believe 98 was the last year for them here and 95 or 96 for the rx7 and the thing about stupid sounding exhaust i agree but that is only on all show and no go civics i think its dumb that people cut off thier stock muffler anh have anotherone welded on cat back exhausts dont sound like crap

an rx7 does handel better than a supra but the rotary motor is like a hot chick it takea alot of money to keep her happy

about the backpressure crap when you are pushing the amount of boost like on a modified RX7 or Supra haveing an exhaust actually hurts the performance it needs to be free flowing

i just like the thought of a 1.8L 4 cyl all motor integra can beat a 4.6 or 5.0 V8 mustang

The same reason I like beating banshees with my buddies 310R instead of my cousins ported banshee. Its just more fun:devil

So if chevy made an oversize, overweight big bore quad that had a pushrod motor would you guys take that over a CRF powered quad????? It all comes down to brand loyalty and PERSONAL opinions. Every time this subject comes up it goes down in flames.

Civic will have had no problems 10 years from now.

Dont get me wrong I HATE Honda's. But they are a really good cars. They will run forever. Plus a Corvette (or any domestic) vehicle is going to lose its resale value twice as fast as a foriegn automobile.

Civic vs. Honda = App;es vs. Oranges

Right...thats why 69' Vettes go around $40,000 and a 94' Civic goes for $3K?

Well, I checked... from $20,000-$60,000. Just depends on condition. Anyways...you get my point. A 69' Vette is more than likely going to be worth more than a 94' Civic anyday.

Civic vs. Vette??? You might as well right dirt wheels and request a shootout between a c-dale and a raptor 80.
Now campare Supra vs. Vette.

I would take supra hands down. Tha pic of flanders is right though honda's are economy cars but they are also sports cars(some anyway). The big reason people I know would buy an s2000 or supra over a vette is cause the can afford to drive them every day. You can buy an S2000 for way less then a vette, have just as much fun driving it, and it gets twice the gas milleage. I guess SOME of you guys will under stand later when you get a licence and have to buy your own gas a pay your on insurence, and bills:rolleyes: You think I enjoy driving my POS S-10 around. **** NO!!!!!! but it gets me where I want to go and I can afford it.

I drive a 95' Lumina with a V6 3.1 Liter and an 88' Silverado with a 350 V8 4.7 Liter (I think thats right).

Na, I dont know anything bout gas mileage.

yeah it sucks that the z06 has over 400hp and still gets over 22 mpg. What type of hp does that s2000 have compared with gas mileage. Oh yeah wait even the ls1 trans am with 315-325hp still gets around 25mpg. I've even seen as much as 31mpg out of them. Gotta suck to have that much hp and still get good gas mileage.

sorry I did just the LX. Yes there is a 160hp motor but the torque is still only 130. Also the base price on the civic SI is 19,000 while the base price on the cavi is 16,000, and thats the ls sports coupe (z24). I went easy I could have chosen to compare the grand prix GTP. I don't mind when people rip on domestics and can back there facts but most people don't know crap about domestics when they diss them. Who knew that the corvette and f-bodys got over 20mpg (city driving). I'm a little partial to the f-bodies though. I mean how many other 25-30K cars have broken into the VERY high 12's stock?

I am just going to say that the vette is a sweet car, best preformance deal I have ever seen. In responce to the honda's being more reliable...who cares? Reliability is very important, but its a maintainance thing. c-dale vs. 400ex. I'd take the c-dale myself. The camero's are the most under-rated cars ever produced. The reason they stopped being made is because someone got the idea that economy cars where better preforming. Yes, old camero's got bad gas milage. Now they can regularly see 26mpg. I dont know much about imports, but how many for the price of a camero ss (26,000ish) will run 13's in the 1/4?

Who cares about the diffrences between a cavalier or civic there both as slow as another, Try comparing some real cars like a eclipse gsx, or a supra tt, and a rx 7 sure you'll see some riced out gsx's supras etc etc but they are the only jap cars that sould have been imported in the first place
