rebuilding top end wondering whether to run stock valves or kibble white valve kit. i heard kibble whites wear the head a little faster just wondering if thats true or not. any input is appreciated....

I went ahead and just put stock valves back in mine. That way I wasn't trying to figure out what was best.

We replaced ours with the kibblewhite. Just remember on an 06 when you go with the kibblewhite you need the spring kit also.

I'd do the kibblewhites myself. I guess theoretically the valves would eat up the valve seats faster as they are stainless steel insetad of the titanium stockers, where as with the stockers the head will eat the valves faster so its a double-edged sword. I'd still do the kibblewhites, and yes dont forget the valve spring kit, different spring rates are used as the kibblewhite stainless valves are heavier and would float on the factory springs.

They all suck. I need a valve job like once a year and I don't ride that much.

I get my heads(got a few engines) cut and new valves once a year as well. It is the nature of the beast and routine maintenance. So why would you say they all suck???

I say they all suck, because Honda is the only one with that problem.

The other major brands don't have that problem.

TRX450R has def got a point. I don't see the YFZ's having this problem every year. I stay w/ stock just because I dont want to have to replce the whole head.....them things are a lot more money than the stock valve kits.
