so i've been busting my *** all year in school and trying to qualify for scholarships and what not. I get home today in a bad mood whining about work and my parents all of sudden get real serious and are like "oh, by the way we need to have a talk, we got a letter from the school today about you" So i go inside kind of worried wondering what i did this time so they hand me this letter and tell me to read it. turns out tomorrow at the basketball game they want to recognize me for my state assessment scores and some other stuff. so then i get the whole "im so proud of you" speech from my parents and my mom said that they wanted to get me something small for my quad as a present for my hard work....low and behold my dad walks out with this....

Remington Model 700 ADL w/ a Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn scope (i've been wanting this gun for over a year but was scared by the hefty price tag)

so i guess the moral of this story is hard work really does pay off

My parents do the same thing when I get my report cards. They get all serious lke im in trouble then suprise me with a little gift of sorts.

Last year I held a straight A average all year and when I got home from work one afternoon my dad was in the yard with my report card looking at me like I was in deep chit.:eek:

Thankfully I wasnt, and I wound up getting a small shopping spree in Guitar Center. I think I got like 10 or 12 packs of strings.:devil:
