Anybody have expierence with shipping front Fenders?

HI,
I have to ship out some front yamaha raptor fenders and the shipping cost is so expensive. I made brackets so nothing would break during shipping and it is making the package way to big. Does anybody know who to ship them with and what is a good way of shipping them to cut the cost down. I appreciate your help.

My in-laws purchased a grandfather clock and the guy shipped it greyhound bus. They said it was 1/2 the price of UPS. That might be an interesting venue to try
