6 ply will weigh more but be more puncture resistent than the 4 ply. Get the 6 ply if you ride woods with a lot of rocks and mud and sticks, but anything else 4 ply should be fine.

4 ply. 6 ply is heavier, and I ride nothing but trails these days and I have never had a puncture, etc. I run over logs, twigs, thorns, etc etc everything you can imagine and have never had a problem. I also run razrs.

Do not be so concerned about you ply ratings your tire size and weight is far more important than that.
For a example 2ply kevlar or 4-6 ply steel or nylon, which is better.
Tire size helps get your rpm/power where you need it,bottom ,
middle or top end.
Tire weight lets you get power from the bottom to the top, more weight less power.Razr tires are very heavy, work great, look super cool, just to much for the ex.
If you have the need for speed then you might want to try the new SR by itp.If your a maxxis fan try the all-tracks 2ply,old school
tire that may be the best atv tire ever made.
I'm not saying itp is better than maxxis, both have good and bad tires, from a race side of things this is what works for us.What works for you may be a whole differant ball game.
