Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone has ever done a hybrid out of a z. I've got a mx ready z440 but i want to go kick start and possible do a 450 swap in there. I'm just curious if anyone has heard of a thing.

never seen a z with a kicker. the dr-z bike has a kick but the z frame will not accept it. i personally have never seen or heard of a hybrid z. that certainly does not mean it can't be done. but with all the new quads out the question is why? when you could buy a new one and be done.

there are several motor kits to give the z more displacement. up to 510cc.

I don't want to go out and buy a new quad and be done becaue my quad has over $16,000 stuck into it and has the best of the best. I know you can make a z go up to a 510cc but i just have never been impressed with the z motor. Why wont the z chassis accept the drz400 motor with kicker.

head on over to z400central.com and search for kickstart. all of your questions will be answered.

The frame is in the way of where the kick start would be. Its that simple. You asked if it would fit. We said no. If you wanna argue about it go buy a Drz motor and try it yourself.

If you not impressed with the motor it is very easy to pump it up and it can make MONSTER power. All you have to do is invest the time and money.
