OK i know this isn't about a atv but i race dirt bikes also i was just wondering if you could put a rm250 in a 04 rm125 frame

what are you sittin on for a bike? im lookin at a 03 rm125 with a ton of mods done..

post soem pic's of your bike! and the mods

All should line up. Frames are all pretty similar from 01-06, but in 03 they did change slightly. If the angles on the frame/motor changed, this would probably require you to make you own motor mounts. Keep in mind the 125's and 250's do share the same frame, so you could probably buy engine mounts for that year of 250 engine. haha I'll sell you my 01 RM.

its not going to feel any faster than a regular 250 because the frames are pretty much the same weight and size just set up to accept different engines. but it should fit with a little work, now if you could find an 85cc frame:D

thats way too much power in a 85 chassie! the front wheel would always be in the air you would have to put a rag in the carb and runn a fouled plug to control it...

A while back some guy stuffed a kx 500 engine into a kx80 frame. That's one scary bike there.

thats the point! a stock 85cc comes with 20-22hp, and a 250 smoker engine makes 45-50hp thats only a little more than double the power of an 85. stock 50s only make 2-3hp, some 125cc pit bike engines make 15-20hp thats more than 7 times more power! if a bike intended to run on 3hp can run 20, a bike designed to run 22hp can run 50.

but anyway, a 85 with a 250 motor would be great, service honda makes a 85cc with a crf250x motor in it and i guess it runs great(google it if your curious) whats an extra 10hp?
