Yesterday I was doing a little after wash inspection and noticed I broke one of my nerf bars.I guess I'm gonna get ones wih built in heel guards this time.Which ones hold up and of course they gotta look good too.So heres a pic of my bike if that helps. Thanks,Mat

I love my AC propegs.

I love my Pro armor. if i had to buy nerfs again i would buy the pro armor fat pegs. my brother has the AC black line nd they are nice and all except the powdercoating chipped but to me being 6' they sit too high up.

im a lil over 6'1" and my propegs are no prob. for my height. They sit at the same height as the stock pegs.

no if you take a look the AC are mounted up a tad bit from stock height. my Pro Armor are exact same as stock

I've been looking at both AC propegs and the Pro armors.Do they stick out far?The ones I had on seemed to stick out farther than they really needed to.Also how are the Blingstarr nerfs?I know they are friggin exspensive, but if theyre worth it I might consider em too.

Blingstar are totally worth it. I hear they don't fade at all and are strong as hell. Many riders swear by Blingstar products. And they look cool while providing excellent protection. Pro Armor are great and I like AC's too. I like IMS/ROLL pegs, nerfs and heel guards, but they are also expensive.

Thanks for the ideas guys.Anybody know who sells the Blingstars for a decent price?

I'm pretty sure Colby sells 'em at C&DRacing. They almost always are cheaper than the mfg. Ask him in his thread section;)

I keep telling myself I'll never buy AC again, every time I do, I'm disappointed. I then had planned on purchasing some Pro-Armors, but after seeing so many pics on here of the heel guards bent beyond belief.... scratch those.

I like the looks of the new pro-armor powergrip setup, but its more $ than the Roll/IMS pegs and setup.

Only nerfs I'm even considering now are Rath nerfs.

I have a set of AC pro pegs with heel guards and have had no problems what so ever with them i personally like them alot but my cousin who races had the same nerfs and he landed from a jump and one side broke right off and hit the ground he damn near broke his leg and unfortunatly lost that race

No problem Matt best ones I could find. I personally like Pro Armor over AC but they're both pretty good IMO. See what you like and they are both around the same price so price doesn't make a difference with these. If you really wanted a nice long lasting set for racing Blingstar of IMS like I said before, but 400 bucks aint worth it if you just regular ride. :)

I gotta tell ya Dan,I rode for alittle while at my pit after work today,it felt pretty good w/o any nerfs.I would rather put the money toward f.shocks, but the first time I slip or miss the pegs I'm sure I'll be wishing I spent the $ on nerfs. Not that its happened before or anything,1 broken ankle and shattered knee cap later!!:oBTW,thanks for all the pics fellas.

Ya I don't have nerfs and I am pretty comfy IMO. IMO suspension is more important than an excellent set of nerfs. Get the nerfs first then some 450r front shocks. You don't wanna bread another ankle.

i put nerf bars on 1st thing when i got my 400ex. 1 they make it look way better, 2 they look good while saving your body parts, 3 they look good while saving your body parts and feel more confortable

I never used em till I got my ex,On all my other bikes I allways ditched the factory heel guards and just rode without nerfs. But I learned my lesson 2 years ago.Out of work for 3 months...not good.Maybe I'll just ALLWAYS wear my riding boots with a nice pair of Elkas up front!:D

Nerfs were the 1st aftermarket part I put on my quad. I prefer not to run over my own leg.

They are powder coated. The paint is surprisingly durable. They have a few scratches from a couple tumbles but, otherwaise look really good.
