Ride it! If you can do a 5th gear wheelie it's got a 440 kit!:D

I understand what he is saying. But i have a 416 and can do a 5th gear wheelie without dumping the clutch. And a compression tester will only tell you the cylinder pressure, not the bore. The only real way to know is to tear it apart. If it was sent off to be built then it may be engraved somewhere on the coutside of the cylinder.

You may be able to determine the size by 'cc-ing' the cylinder similar to how heads are cc'ed. Might be a little messy but i'm sure it can be done.

a poorly built 440 can be outperformed by an immaculate stocker. same with riders. the only way to tell has already been mentioned, measure the piston, or JOEX's way which i believe involves pouring a liquid through the spark plug hole and measuring how much it holds. correct me if im wrong.

well thats why i said he should try and ride a stock one.. an a poorly built one will still show enough of a diffrence.. and yea measure how much liquid it holds..
