i have one , the top is the same as the leagers and lonestar stems..it looks strong as h***, i dont think herrmann is chroming stems either, i just got mine raw and it is at the chrome shop right now...50 bucks and they said i will have it back in 10 days..if you still want pics then i will post...also i only paid 260 for the stem, antivibe stuff and the aluminum bar clamps...so i figure im in 310 for a chrome antivibe stem, thats cheaper than leagers or lonestar without the clamps

Chad get a bare one and have it chromed locally. like trx400ex. Chrome weakens the metal thouh. You get an "almost chrome" p-coat, or a "black chrome" is bad@$$ too.!

i wish aftermarket stems were cheaper than what they are, cause my stem right now it bent a little bit, kinda noticable, but not worth spendin $300 for if you know what i mean, I didn't realize chrome weakened the metal but there seems like a ton of powercoats out there that are pretty sweet lookin

i'd go with what they said, just get a bare stem and get it chromed or powdered locally, it seems like the aftermarket companies charge an arm and a leg for anything

Bob,
U never seise to amaze me with your prices, lol. They are always the lowest around! Rememeber i talked to u a while ago, i was on a cell phone called from Extreme Motorsports, i called to talk about selling your products. How is the top of the stem setup? Is it a split lever top like the housers. Or is it a single level like lonestar, herrmann, and leagers? I like the split level tops, but also like the other style. I just dnt like the kind that looks exaclty like the stockers. I think Jannsenn makes them that way. It doesnt look lik it would be as strong. let me know, and post pics as soon as u can. Thanks a TON!!!

Hello guys:

In testing & building stems for one of the factories, I can tell you that inserting one tube inside another to "double wall" it is NOT the way to go to optimize strength. This is from testing EVERY aftermarket stem available at the time, and most of them were "double walled" and they failed for the same reason. Not a smart move from an engineering standpoint! (I doubt if any of the shops making them that way realize it or know why however.) I can tell you this, we've built THOUSANDS of them, none were "doubled" and they all passed testing ahead of anything else.

Are housers that way. Cuase they look differant than the hermmanns and most of the others. Do u have a pic of your stems? Im looking for a STRONG stem that isnt going to break or bedn if i just roll it on its side.

PS Methyman, THANKS for all the pics!!!!:D

I have an arens in the ex, and a herrmann in the crf, i havent had any problems with the arens, you can trust this guy. the herrmann is also a great stem from what i can see by looking at it, havent had much ride time on it, but i got a good feeling about them also

I know the Housers are very strong. I have some wicked wrecks and it's still straight as an arrow.
