My front brakes are kind of outdated and was wondering if steel braided lines were a good idea. I've tried bleeding and new pads too, and just not cuttin' the bread no more. Please help!

i bought steel braided lines and love them so much. when i ride someone elses quad with regular lines i wonder how you can even ride with them. after having them on i would never go back to stock lines. its like effortless to stop and you get a better feel for the brakes

Had the same problem with my girls 400.
Couldnt get a good lever feel worth a damn.
I first rebuilt the master cylinder. then i rebuitl both front calipers. Still didnt make a difference. i need to change the lines, they must be expanding too much causing the spongy brake feel.

SS lines are a great improvement. It may be time to the calipers and/or master cylinders too...

With the braded lines you dont have to pull the lever nearly as hard to stop. :D

steel braided lines actually make me go faster in a sense were i can go faster and then just easily tap the lever and slow down instead of the mushy stock lines were you need to give yourself a little more room
