Needing some Tongue info

My Son Brandon is doing a project at school and we have to disect(sp?) a Cows tongue today, then come up with an illustration of something off the internet to print off.
Thats what I cant find.:confused:

So he needs to make an illustration of the dissection?

I'd say take a picture off the internet, try to redraw it, but draw it as though a piece of the tongue is cut out so you can see the inside. Lol.

LOL Yeah, I think an illustration is what he needs, but I was looking for a diagram in color we could get some good ideas from.
Its a gross project if you ask me and Im not touching it!

Actually in 5th grade I was dissecting squids. I got half way through the class but the smell started to get to me so I threw up in the bathroom for the last half. :p

In the 6th grade, we had to dissect frogs, butI moved to Ore. that week,so I just missed having to do that .:D
I just found some facts on the human and animal tongue(no illustration) and that will just have to do.

Here's what i'd do....

Boil the tongue in a pot of water till tender
Remove outer layer
Slice thin
Put slices on rustic style bread with your favorite mustard and maybe some red onions

Enjoy:D

Tastes like really rich beef. It's fatty and it needs to be cooked long enough to become tender.

I've only had it on a sandwich like what I posted. There are many other was to use tongue:chinese:
