Im sooooo sick of my Norton anti-virus software, I keep getting something that keeps disabling my virus protection and Ive had to re-install it 3 times this year, cant seem to figure out why this keeps happening and now Im w/o anything ...As soon as I restarted my computer, it disabled my protection!Im not sure why or what keeps causing this, but its getting old.
So my question, what is some other good virus protection. Ive never liked Norton, but have some free one(cant remember what its called) but its not free anymore .
Also,Send me some links and why you like it ,also a site I cano download it from .
Thanks!:)

we run Panda and Kaspersky for our network at work and our IT department uses the same. I think they're both along the lines of $50 a year. (personally i LOVE panda, its not annoying with all the security questions but when something happens it lets you know and terminates the problem)

I think it comes down to personal preference everyone loves the anti virus haha...Anyway i had mega viruses on my computer used Norton couldn't find it then used Mcafee couldn't find it...Went to work and was recommended Trend Micro by the geek squad guys...put that and a program called spy sweeper on my computer runs like a champ now it finds everything....I say run

Trend Micro
Spy Sweeper
Ad-Aware

Norton from my experiences with Norton is that its a resource hog galore and Mcaffee is no different... Thats why I use AVG. Gets the job done :)

If you actually buy AVG, you will be protected from everything.....it will prompt you to buy it eventually.

I use Trend Micro Antivirus and use AdAware to clean up all the other junk. Works pretty good so far.

This is for the porn sites...don't want little kiddy computers running around!

Of all the anti-virus software I've run "F-Prot" is my favorite.

Cheap, and reliable. And none of the annoyances that come with McAfee or Norton's. I swear those 2 are viruses themselves.

http://www.f-prot.com/

If you pick home license you get 5 licenses for $29

However, if you pick corporate license you get 10 licenses for $50.

You can have a "legal" copy for all of your computers. $5-$6 per license.

They have free trials also.
