gasket stuck

I took off my right crankcase cover to replace the gasket and the gasket is all stuck on there. I was just gonna scrape it off. But what would be the best way to get it off?

Lightly scrape it off......use a gasket scraper if you have one. ;)

I use a widget (basically a razor blade) and WD40. make sure you let the WD set in before trying to scrape it off. Gentle is key. Hope that helps.

Permatex makes a gasket remover. Should be able to get it from an auto parts store.

razorblade and paint thinner, thats how ive always done it.

Scrotch brite pads work well also.
