even though its for the xr400, what does it improve, mid-top end?

Because thats what i want, and is it equivalent to any hotcam cams?

The HRC cam is alot of things:

1) almost COMPLETELY unavailable! I searched for 4 months calling every Honda dealer I could find and finally found one in Indiana, their last one!

2) One of the best all-around cams available

3) most like the HC stage 2 or the Web cam 450/451

If I were to do it again I'd get the HC stage 2

well i was asking cuz my cousin works at a honda/yamaha dealer and they could order it, at least thats what he said

Even if they ordered it, that doesn't necessarily mean it will come in. I would imagine that they don't produce that cam anymore considering how rare they are. I would probably just go with the HotCams stage 2 since it's also a drop-in cam, the specs are fairly close to the HRC, and it's more than half the price. The only thing that the HotCams cam doesn't have is the ability to use the decompression mechanism, but that really hasn't been an issue with the vast majority of people using one.
