Hey got some stuff to send you.

I was wondering though, how does mirror black hold up compared to a normal gloss black?
And could you put any kind of silver sparkle in the mirror black? Have any pictures of something like this?

This is what I was thinking

Mirror Black w/ Silver sparkle?
Frame / Subframe
Engine mounts
Lower A-arms

10ft Chrome:
Upper A-arms

Molycoat:
Front + Rear Sprokets

LMK, thanks

mirror black and gloss black have the same impact ratings so there should not be any difference in durability by the numbers, and i have noticed no difference

for black with flake, i would use a silver or gold flake clear over black

Mirror Black w/ Silver sparkle?
Frame / Subframe $190
Engine mounts $25
Lower A-arms $35

10ft Chrome:
Upper A-arms $30

Molycoat:
Front + Rear Sprokets $10 front $15 rear

Sounds good, Mirror black with silver flake clear it is.

Also forgot to list my nerfs

Mirror Black (no flake)
Rath Nerfs w/ Heel Guards

I plan on starting tear down in a week or two, I'll let you know when the parts are on the way.

Thanks
John

Everything is all torn down and ready to ship out to you.

The only hang up is that 1 of the mounts on the nerf bars that holds the net snapped off while I was trying to bend it back in shape (got smashed up by a rock).

If I call Rath and can get a replacement mount, can you weld it back on?
I'll grind the old welds off and everything so you have a clean surface to work with.

I'll post a picture of it.

I dont weld aluminum, but it shouldnt be an issue getting it fixed locally here now that my aluminum guy is back

Paying by Paypal, you want the payment the day I ship everything out or when you get it, how do you prefer it?

Pappy

Rath can send it direct, thats more then fine.

I will charge you exactly what i am charged for the nerf repair, I cant imagine it being much

Is this frame getting gusseting or just a look over? (I fix any cracks for free)

Payment is your call, the wife says I need to fill the check book because I have so much tied up in powder and gusset kits for the season, but I am fine with what ever works best for you:p

UPS just came but no frame or parts, if it doesnt come today dont be worried, the snow has these delivery drivers stuck everywhere and they have been calling to tell me they may or may not be able to get to my place for a day or so.

d3ktrix
12-06-2007, 09:37 AM
Its coming Fedex.
Ya I figured the snow might slow things down.

Hows your back doing?

Pappy
12-06-2007, 09:50 AM
i think its getting better, but it still hurts enough to make me tear up when i try to get up:ermm:

fed ex usually doesnt come here until 4pm or so. i am getting ready to head to the strippers to see if they have some stuff done so i can try and get back to work over the weekend. i can coat some small stuff and cody can load the oven for me but frames may take a few more days unless i can get my brother over here to load them on the rack. oh well, it will all work out, it will just take a few more days:p

d3ktrix
12-08-2007, 10:06 AM
Whoa they actually did a Saturday delivery for a ground package. Must of been because of the snow delay.

Did everything make it there ok? I was worried about that pos thin box and the crappy packaging job. lol

Also I wanted to let you know, please do not get any PC inside the tubes of the nerfs if you can. They already SUPER SUPER hard to get on and off, PC in there would only make it worse. Thanks!

Ya Rath makes these things really tight tolerance. I can hammer them on and ride them with no bolts at all and they won't budge even the slightest bit. The Pro Armors used to flop all over the place. lol

You got my stuff all in 1 piece tho right? or haven't been to the shop?

Pappy
12-09-2007, 04:27 PM
yep everything arrived fine and is all loaded ready to head off for stripping

d3ktrix
12-09-2007, 04:35 PM
Nice, thank god that box held up.

As soon as you shoot me a total price I'll paypal you.

Any sign of the Rath nerf mounts?

d3ktrix
12-14-2007, 09:10 PM
You got the parts from Rath right?
Know which mounts to replace?

Pappy
12-14-2007, 09:14 PM
yep the new mounts came. i dropped them off to be stripped, then i will take them to be repaired. i saw a few that were tweaked so i think i can figure out which ones get replaced etc.

Pappy

d3ktrix
12-19-2007, 06:56 PM

Surprised it didn't have any cracks, it's taken so many hits at the track I thought would fold it in half.

Pappy
12-19-2007, 06:58 PM
the bottom of the frame wasnt even bashed in, i think your good to go!

d3ktrix
12-19-2007, 07:03 PM

Or is that nothing compared to what u've seen? lol

Pappy
12-19-2007, 07:09 PM
lol...its a peach compared to some. ive seen the main lower tubes egg shaped, the center support damn near touching and more cracks the courtney love shows when a camera is present:p

Got it all today, coating looks great!
I'm guna be blinding people with the silver flake lol
Top a-arms look way better then I expected too, very nice looking silver. I might have to get my valve cover and clutch cover done that color.

There was some minor shipping damage on the front of the frame and the sub frame mount was tweaked.
Nothing that matters really, can bend it back with a rag and channel locks.
Just wana let ya know for future packaging. And I thought u had it packed really good, apparently DHL had there way with it though :P

You only replaced 1 of the nerf mount tabs?

I switched to fed ex today after watching the dhl guy damn near throw a frame in his truck:grr: they have to roll them or drop them to hurt them is what gets me:ermm: i dont think you could package it much better:(

you send the other parts, ill hook you up seeing they dinged it up.

not sure how many tabs were replaced, they were done and blasted when i got them...i will check however

d3ktrix
01-17-2008, 08:55 PM
Any chance u found those tabs? I'd like em for future use. I'm sure I'll smash some more off soon enough lol.

Bikes almost done, I'll put pix up soon.
Thanks again

Pappy
01-17-2008, 09:02 PM
yep, matter of fact i picked them up a few days ago when i was picking up from there.

how close are you to being done now?

d3ktrix
01-17-2008, 09:08 PM
Just need to bolt the hood on and waiting for my NOSS adapter to put the FCR and air box on and it'll be ready to go.

If u want, u can send the tabs back in Allstocks or mx1791 orders. They are both live near me. Save you on shipping =)

Pappy
01-17-2008, 09:31 PM
will do!

d3ktrix
01-18-2008, 11:21 PM
I wasn't going to do the clutch or valve cover but now that it's all together, I'm thinking it would complete the look better if they were a different color.

What do u think would look good on them? Maybe a black but thinking theres a lot of black already.

Crappy pic, will have better ones later outside when the weathers better.

d3ktrix
01-18-2008, 11:22 PM
.

Pappy
01-19-2008, 03:20 AM
black would be ok, a bright silver would work. Orange (its 5 am so if its not orange my eyes arent working or the color from your pic is off:p ) would be ok as well.

d3ktrix
01-19-2008, 02:04 PM
lol ya its orange, the pictures are just horrible in the garage.
