I have an 02 400ex the motor is completely stock. I need to install a 42 pilot to fix the cold starting problem I ordered the jets from Dennis Kirk and I didn't know which jets to order so I ordered the 22 series in a 40 and 42 which I have later learned is not right. My question is will the 22 series work at all or do I need to reorder the 21 series. Thanks

You gotta have the 21 series.

You need 21. I think 22 is for a yamaha.

After talking with Duncan Racing, they recommend using the factory series pilot jet, which is a 26 series pilot jet, not the 21 series. The 21 series is 28 mm long and the 26 series pilot jets are 23.5 mm long, which is whats in the 400ex from the factory. Let me know what ya think, I'm new here. :)
