I am strongly considering going with a CT 350 jug. Does anyone have or know how radically different the non -pv is compared to the PV. How do CT exhaust fair up. They have a mid-range and PV pipe. I currently have a ESR TRX5 centermount.

big difference in pv vs non pv as far as power delivery, but with everything else being the same, hp will be practically the same. i have a ct midrange, and on my 310 it's pretty smooth, but it has a larger dia stinger and the only silencer i have for it is an fmf turbine core 2 so that probably kills a little power.

The TRX5 pipe is way better than CT mid pipe! I have ran both. Other pipes that will work good is LRD bigbore, the best pipe, if you can find one is Curtis Sparks big bore tt. I have had 350 pv and non pv motors HP is similiar, however, pv hits right away and is smooth all the way up to top end.

Cripes almighty. My 340 can be downright difficult to ride in tight terrain, I am forever losing traction. It's got a powervalve on it, I can't imagine how bad it would be if the power came on faster.

On those big engines, unless you are in the dunes (where wheelspin is just a fact of life), I would ALWAYS recommend a powervalve.

Yee Haw point taken!! This bike is only ridden on sand, so I quess this is a no brainer decision.

pv is the way to go

ct has a strong set up as far as the 350pv goes. Also most engine builders like the ct pv over the esr pv. It operates a little smoother.

I have the ct kit and it totally rips

Just because you ride in the sand doesnt mean you shouldnt buy a powervalve. I strongly recommend a PV in the sand. I only ride the sand and am running a ct350pv. It is the smoothest 250 i have ever ridden. I am always using lowend in the sand to say you dont use lowend is rediculous.
