AIM problem

It's not working on my laptop, but does on the desktop. It keeps popping up as saying a server error occured. I am terrible with computers so I don't even know where to start with this. Anyone know whats going on with it?

server error occurred...... if you have an internet networking device, ie linksys, reset the modem and/or cable modem, if it doesnt kick back on, restart the computer....it usually does it if your modem reboots or loses signal...

i just had this happen on my computer at school. try going to aim.com and download version 6.5 (i think). my version was simply outdated.

server error means your internet connection isnt working as stated above. its not aim its your computer
