if i understand correctly the cf-1's are the hipers with the full carbon fiber center. you dont want that for mx, the origional hipers with the metal centers will be stronger

Absolutely!!I hated to break the bank but i ended up buying the fronts and a set of 8" for MX and a set of 9" for trail.I am very happy and its nice not denting,gouging, and warping rims anymore.And now i can change my own tires.Oh and 1 other thing...No more leaky tires.My tires never lost a pounfd of air all season!!!I got duals in the rear and singles in the front.I dont believe the fronts come in duals anyway.And the dual rears came in handy when i was 15 miles deep in the woods and i tore open a rear tire!!!Get the good ones not the CR1 or whatever there called.It will be the last rim youll have to buy.Not to mention every part is replaceable!;)

the CF1's aren't strong enough for serious mx racing, go with the tech 3's. that is a good price for CF1's though. they're $188 a peice on Hiper's website. check on ebay, there are some good prices on new hipers. they are a great wheel for sure. i've started using them a lot more. i broke a wheel half this summer. it was nice to only have to buy the wheel half and not the whole wheel.

Hiper doesnt sell the intergrated hub anymore they break.

The cf1's arent for racing just general riding.

Tech3's are what you need.

You can find great deals on ebay for hipers if you look hard.

I dont know that anyone can beat ebay prices on hipers, I did some researching and I cant believe how cheap you can get them on there. Be sure to email the people because its a lower price than advertised.

I had my sets of intergated hubs for almost 4 years, didn't break. From what I was told, they stopped selling them due to the centers stripping out. As long as you keep the axle nuts tight, they won't strip out. The only 2 that I know of that stripped out, the guy didn't tighten the nuts very tight.

Get the dual rear beadlocks and single fronts, they are strong. I hit a tree(3rd gear) and bent the axle pretty good, but didn't effect the hiper rim at all. I hit a tree going slow and bent one of my douglas 190's. I also have a set of beadlocks that got bent from using it with mx.
