ive seen quite a few people put CBR 600 or 1000 oil coolers on there 400ex is this very beneficial?

i have seen it done and have heard it lowers temperatures quite a bit but i'm not sure what has to be done

I would like to do it but I don't know what is needed and how difficult it is.
