VIN plate location

I am trying to locate the VIN plate on the ATV I just purchased. Where is it located? I am beginning to get nervous that it may not be there.

the vin is on the front bumper mount. frontmost part of the frame. Your motor also has a motor id # that is just below the gear shift lever, left side of motor

if you are talking about a 400ex then the VIN is on the plate just behind the front bumper. Here is a pic of a 400ex with the front bumper removed. I have circled the plate with the VIN on it.

if your bike has been powdered coated you probably can't see it anymore without removing the powder coat.
