whats the best way to wire the fan so it runs all the time

just follow your ignition switch wires down to where they connect under the hood. there are 4 wires connected to that plug. just splice the red and black wires together and it should run all the time. :macho

Cut the green wire thats int he fan plug and ground it to the frame.

i have the temp sensor ground out and i tried grounding the green wire from the frame but the fan wont kick on

If you ground the wire from the sensor the fan should come on when you start the quad. If not the motor might be bad.

i tried grounding the green wire on mine and it wouldnt work. but when i connected the red and black wires it worked.
