how can i fix my broken ipod screen?

i broke the screen on me old ipod(20gb with no photos or color) and i was wondering if there was a replacement screen that i can put into it or if there is other things i would need to do to make it work

your best bet would probably be to email apple.

I broke my 30gig iPod video a few months back and called apple and they said they don't even have the parts for them.

Even when you send it in to be fixed all they do is replace the whole iPod..

So I went out and blew another good chunk of change on the 6th Generation 80 gigs.. I can't live without it!

"you" can't replace the screen. thats jsut a fact. they don't sell replacement lcd screens that you can buy. your best bet would be just to get a new one cuz that thing is as good as done snce you cant get parts for em anymore

They aren't that hard to come by. If you can work on your quad, you can fix an iPod.

Jsut have to make sure you have the right generation of screen. There's lots of them on e-bay and amazon.

I jsut had to replace the touchscreen on my Treo680. Cost me $85 as opposed to a $450 replacement phone. ;)

youd be better off buying a new one, they hold more songs and there only around 300 bucks , i just got the ipod touch there awsome, but it was 400 bucks. apple products are the best everything i own is apple, there computers are amazing.

they work awsome, its like your using a little lap top. the picture is clear as day and it loads quickly.

Chances are Apple will charge you for repairs, nothing you can do.

You can repair it yourself, cheaply. See my above post.

If you're planning on buying a new one anyway, what would it hurt to tinker with the one you've got. Worst possible case, you might break it? It's already broke so may as well spend $30 and try to fix it.
