well i had some ridin videos and i uploaded them to picasa and i try to open them in windows movie maker and it says

"The file C:\Documents and Settings\zachary radu\My Documents\SANY0056.MP4 is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker."

i cant figure anything out... could i change the file type maybe?? any suggestions?:confused: :confused:

Try just taking the vids straight form your files and putting them into WMM.

If all else fails, do a search on mp4 to mp3 converter. There are various "free" programs out there.

ok so i got the mp4 to mp3 converter unregistered... and i encoded all the files but i dont know what to do now.. here a screenshot...

I would look in c:\temp for the mp3 files and click on one to see if it plays.

what do you mean by temp?

C:\temp - Copy and paste that in the address bar in MY Computer and thats where your music should be since that is the destination based off of your screen shot.

yeah all my music is there but none of my videos.....

mp4 is an extension associated with apple quicktime.
Windows movie maker unfortunately does not import this file type as you have witnessed. Although the converter program you got is an mp3 converter. mp3 is used for audio.
What your gonna need to do is convert those mp4 files into a AVI or MPEG or WMV format for windows movie maker can read them.

yeah i found that out.. but do i need anoter program program to change it to those other files?? if so what should i look for?

Oh sorry I didnt read ur post well enough at first, but I dunno if you have tried this but this is supposed to work and its free. Its called SuperC BTW

i got the super thing.. now which file extension will give me video and sound on the video?? i did .avi bt it was only video..
