Stock for stock who would win in a drag a KFX 400 or a TRX400.

Well, your posting on the 400ex section, what do you think people will say

Anyway, my honest opinion, if the riders are equal, it would be neck and neck or the kfx would be slightly ahead.

Deny it all you want, the kfx is a more modern motor.

Between the liquid cooling and dohc that gives it a few extra ponies all by itself.

Engines lose horsepower as they get hotter, so when both are warmed up, the kfx runs cooler.

Even if the kfx may be a LITTLE faster, i would still take my 400ex any day just because im not a big fan of suzuki or kawasaki.

I used to have a 03 400ex and my buddy has a z400(pretty much the same, right?) any way he seemed to be a little faster but not too much. I"ve owned many Hondas and love every one, I do like the 400ex better for all around use

As everyone else on here, I love my honda, but stock for stock, the kfx is a little faster. Now if you go up to the same compression as the kfx, and put in a cam, its a whole different story.

my brother has a 2005 kfx 400 and i have a 2003 400 ex and we have about the same mods, he has brand new tires and i have pretty worn stock tires. Im 6'1" 225lbs and hes 6'3" 165lbs and he only beat me by about 3/4 quad length

well kfx400 is a mirror copy or the z400 it even says on the frame this machine manufactured by suzuki motor company. and the kfx/z400 would win stock to stock but not by alot like other people said kfx is more of a modern motor trx has been the same for a least 4 years

Yeah, the trx quad has been the same, but if your talking about the engine, it has been the same for the last what, 11 years? To be the same design for that long to be hangin with all this new stuff. Thats impressive.

KFX / LTZ will win , but it all comes down to the rider.I ate a bunch of them when i was stock

sadly the kfx will win, when I was stock and my cousin (kfx 400) was stock we would race and Im probably a better driver and he outweights me but he woulb barely beat me by half a quad. Lots of things go into account so its hard to say though such as the tire pressure road conditions, and even the way the bike is broke in effects its hp/weight ratio. But anyways drop the clutch and let it eat and let us know how it goes, you can always wait untill the kfx breaks HAHA! have a good one...

two of my neighbors have a z400(stock) and the other has a 400ex with a slip on DG mufffler, and the neighbor with the z400 said they were dead even, and the 400ex owner is probably a better driver to. but then, when i was younger, another freind had a KFX and my neighbor with the 400ex raced him, and the KFX owner said the 400ex beat him, but he probably was stil a bad driver, so i think they would be pretty close
