i dont remember this sound but maybe i've never payed attention to it. when i start my 400 up it makes a ticking sound i know all honds have a slight tick but when its cold its a loud tick and once its warms up it stops. if anyone knows what it is let me know

well if you dont have a cam, you may just need your valves adjusted

I agree on the valves. Also when did you change your oil last?

my oil was changed about 4-5 hours ago

how hard is it to adjust the valves or would it be easier to pay someone to do it . i think i'm just going to have somone do it so i dont screw it up lol

VERY EASY! your book has it. If you don't have the factory book pick up a clymer manual. Once you do it you will see how simple it is.

make sure you have feeler gauges too.
